Typically airlines allow 100 W-hr, which is different from just Watts. This unit is 20 Ah and assuming 3.7V cells, would be 74 W-hr and would be allowed on planes.

PD 3.0, not PD 3.1. Only 100W max of a single port

Did anyone else catch that one Amazon review video? The person is struggling to get the power bank to charge, but it looks like they're trying to juice it up using a 5W brick plugged into the **USB-A output** port. Talk about a "read the manual" moment!
Hopefully, they get it sorted out eventually. whether they finally crack open the instructions or just end up filing for a warranty replacement.

I just ordered the Talix earlier. This might be better just because of the retractable USB-C Cable.

It's not really. Mostly perspective. About the same size as an Anker 737.

Yes. I have this one.

Charges laptop quickly. Amazing how much it drains the power bank but this is expected.

As stated by the other person - they limit the max energy storage to 100 Watt Hours. Delivering 100W continuous just means that a 100 Watt Hour battery would last 1-hour, if there was such a thing as 100% transfer efficiency.

You could have a 100 Watt Hour of energy-storage battery that is capable of transferring 1,000 Watts in a short burst, and it would still be "allowed." The limits are on energy storage capacity, which is Watt Hours.

100 Watt Hours of capacity is 341BTU of heat (plus some extra for the burnable materials used in the other parts/plastics of the housing and such). They limit the airline energy storage to that much energy - 100 Watt Hours.

Another way to put it. Hypothetically lets say you have a 200 horsepower car, but a cargo company limits the fuel tank to 2-gallons of fuel in the tank during transport. It doesn't matter if the car has 200hp and could burn through that gas in 5-6 minutes - the 2 gallons of fuel is what is combustible, and it's what would be restricted. 200hp is work/energy transfer speed, 2 gallons of fuel is the energy storage. 100W is energy transfer speed, 100Wh is energy storage. 165W max output of this battery bank is transfer speed, but it still has a 74Wh energy storage. 74 is less than the airline limit of 100.

In summary, 100 Watts (transfer speed) and 100 Watt Hours (storage capacity) are two completely different things. The capacity is what is restricted on airlines, as that controls how much energy is in the device, and how "explosive"/fiery it can be.
