- The Seasonic is a Tier A
Note that being Tier C doesn't make the Corsair trash; for reference, the distinction given the tier below (Tier D) is simply that those power supplies are not recommended for systems with dedicated GPUs. They still generally function as power supplies.Looking for a great value for money?
My reasons for buying the Seasonic: I wanted something exceptionally quiet, preferred white for the current build, and tend to hold onto my computer components for exceptionally long times (so Seasonic's warranty was meaningful to me). So basically, I paid a premium which I considered rational for the reasons above.

P.S. - For further insight, consider that in addition to the Seasonic I bought I already have a working Corsair TX650M sitting as one of my standby power supplies for facilitating swaps/builds.
