Bought 2 back in 2021 around a similar price. However we have an older house, so couldn't install it since our light switches are not wired with a neutral or ground wire.

Listed as a 2-amp switch, but most typical switches/receptacles are 15-amps, right?

Can anyone tell me if I'd run into issues installing this as a switch that also controls 15-amp receptacles?

Would love to use this for my basement, but my current light switch at the top of the stairs also controls receptacles I use down there when I have the lights on, like running a shopvac.

Wondering if I'll have a problem swapping the current toggle out for this one if the downstream draw is greater than 2 amps but less than 15 amps.

Lutron does sells a maestro MS-OPS5M-WH that doesn't require a neutral wire.

Unfortunately it costs considerably more than $16.

Sadly yes, but it does handle more current so I have them to handle our bathroom fans.
