Nikon seems to be playing around with the current refurbished sale prices. Right now, the refurb Z50 with 16-50mm kit lens is showing $499.95. The body alone is a higher price and the two lens kit is almost double the price. I'm not sure what is going on, but I think this matches the price of the Z50 from sales last year.
Note: the Z50II is also available, but at a higher price of $655.11 (body only), $755.95 for single lens kit, and $935.95 for the two lens kit.

Keep in mind, the Z50II is noticeably larger than the original.

I do believe that is exaggerated by the reviewers who had early firmware on the Z50. It has had almost a dozen updates since the original 1.0 version and most of the reviewers didn't use the Z50 for very long.
However, the newer processor in the Z50II does have some advantages with video, and most like the fully articulating screen better.
Keep in mind, the Z50II is noticeably larger than the original.
