Short answer, no.
If you play the mercenaries and versus modes then there's some added content there. But the base game is identical.

Gold edition does include the DLC expansion "Lost in Nightmares" where Chris & Jill do a covert mission into Oswald Spencer's mansion. Not trying to give away any spoilers.

Yeah the controls do not translate well to what we've become accustomed to, all these years later.

This game was massively popular when it released, I'm sure Capcom will give it the remake treatment at some point.

This game has couch co-op and is probably one of the best co-op games made. Capcom actually fixed the local co-op and removed games for windows in 2023 after being broken for nearly 15 years lol
