I have lost faith and trust in HP printers! Prefer Brother which lasts for ever with minimum maintenance, especially on the expensive toner cartridges

Is HP any better than Canon? Canon keeps nagging me about using counterfeit toners. Well maybe if you didn't charge $120 for each dang color x 4 colors, I wouldn't use counterfeit toners at 1/10 of the cost.

As long as your set the brother printers to block auto-updates. I read/saw something about them not completely blocking 3rd party inks but that they did something to the color registration that make it functionally useless without OEM toner. Rather than outright rejecting third-party ink, the printers generated errors that made it look like the non-OEM cartridges themselves were defective I think they also removed rollback firmware.

It has print by email. You get an email address for that. Security vulnerabilities in the past with any printer. But hp has been the best in my experience. My Brother MFC still going. But HP either less footprint.

Hp definitely gone downhill. And the toner/ink costs more than the printer itself. Every single toner, might as well buy a new printer. I hate having to try 3rd party ones and do not yield same or similar quality. That leaves me with genuine hp toner but man some of them are really expensive

I read something similar. Ended up with an older Canon printer refurb.

Hp is trash. I recommend brother or Epson. Get a small office rated model,everyones consumer printers are junk.

Truth. My Canon has nonstop issues communicating with my Macbook.
