This watch isn't water resistant to 300 feet of water depth, from my research. Cross referencing the "WATER RESIST", with no meter marking (such as 100M), to Casio online documentation about "Water resistance rating" indicates that this watch isn't even recommended for bathing or showering with it on. It is ok for splashes of water and rain.

In my personal experience these, and even the cheaper F-91W watches, withstand a lot more than splashes and rain. I've worn them small-craft single-type sailing (very wet), swimming, and snorkeling with no problems at all. The labels and "ratings" are mostly for market differentiation.

I used to wear my G-SHOCK for those purposes but then saw others wearing the cheaper models with no problem, and since they are lighter and more comfortable for me and cheaper, I just started wearing these instead.

I have numerous Casios with the same specs at the same price point, and I have put them through countless showers, pools, hot tubs,saunas, and steam rooms hot enough to buckle your knees and none have ever had any water intrusion or any issues.

Same here. My F91W saw lots of watersports action, many times it felt like the water would rip it off my arm. No issues.
