I got these [amazon.com] as water shoes three years ago, and they're among the best "random Amazon brand" purchases I've made.

Easy to slip on/off with option to cinch the elastic band for a tighter fit, no laces to come untied, upper dries quickly and doesn't let in small pebbles, sole grips rocks well and has drain holes, and they're just super comfortable. I've used them a bunch on beaches and rivers, and they're' still going three years later.

I have these. They're not bad as water shoes. The soles are very flat so no arch support.

Those drain holes in the sole are gonna make for some extra fun if you step in something while wearing them anywhere other than in the water/on a boat... They looked interesting until I saw that in the photo
