lots of reviews note the vines are stale and/or hard although expiration date was ok. A few noted black spots on the licorice.

10% of ratings are a 1 or 2 (with 8% for rating 1) which is not a good sign for a known candy..... pass

FWIW, these are randomly on sale for around $10 at your local Albertsons (Safeway, Bons, Jewel-Osco, Pavilions, Haggen).
And Costco/Sam's are around the same price. With the risk of food on Amazon, Id probably go to the other spots instead. But you can always do the amazon food trick for free food.
