Thanks slick deal as these are only a few months old! Upgrading from the xm5. I read these have better ANC but the size has increased in both earbud and case.

They are cleaned and pads replaced. Tbh, most of mine ordered could pass as new. I normally order through Ebay to get the 2 yr warranty included.

Likely "like new" but still going to wait for a deal on their ebay store to get the 2yr warranty

Same experience here. I still use my Secondipity refurb WH-1000XM4 from (holy crap!) January 2021. In for 1!

In case anyone is wondering, Sony will not warranty this.
And in my experience they will also reject this even if they are doing some type of broad factory defect replacement scheme.

Yup I tried to warranty one before, and tried getting free replacement ear tips for another
Both times, sony support replied and said:
"After reviewing the serial number you provided, we found out your unit is flagged as recycled in our database. These units are usually sold by our warehouse to dealers as refurbished/reconditioned with no warranty coverage from the manufacturer. "

Wait until this seller lists on eBay with 2 year warranty?

Still $280 https://ebay.us/m/EMCnc9

Usually, you don't get the extra 20% coupon on ebay.

This is the way to go.

For other folks: Secondipity is a Sony refurb partner, and their refurbishment is usually excellent. I've purchased 3 pairs of earbuds through them. 2 were in such flawless condition that they showed zero signs of usage. In one case, one set of eartips was used (I guess they missed that during inspection. Ew), so they refunded me $40 to purchase new eartips.

When Secondipity lists products on eBay, you can usually get them with a 2-year warranty through Allstate / SquareTrade. I had to do a claim on my XM4s when one of the buds stopped holding a charge. They didn't have that model anymore, so they refunded the purchase price and I put it toward the XM5s (same deal, refurb with a 2-year warranty). Total payment between both sets was something like $150, and for that I got 4 years (so far) on Sony's most recent flagship earbuds which typically retail for $300+.

Is it their real website? Always bought something from them on ebay only. Such a big price difference between website and eBay...

I can't get a consistent seal with the XM4, I have to use the largest tip and still the ANC is not as good as the Bose or even the Demon(!). Standing right by my pool pump, the XM4 struggles to erase it (the other do fine)

Wonder if with it being bigger the mic for the ANC will pick up ambient noise better so that the software can cancel it. I believe that's the issue I'm having with the XM4
