The S1 has 4K/60fps vs the Mini's 4K/30fps, front obstacle avoidance where the Mini doesn't, 40 min rated flight time vs 31 min for the Mini, AI-assisted subject lock/auto tracking that's more sophisticated than the Mini's, 7.3 mile transmission range vs the Mini's 6.3, 48 megapixel stills vs 12 megapixel on the Mini, and vertical shooting mode (cropped) for social media content creation where the Mini doesn't do that. Otherwise you're spot on - pretty much identical.

With A LOT of speculation that the s1 is a shell company for Dji i think the skyrover is the easy choice .
Any input on the s1 vs the Dji mini 3 ?
S1 around $335 for fly more or the mini 3 for $465 ish hmm

I ordered the Fly More package two days ago and was able to get an additional 5% off with the discount code KIV8U3PX. It only worked out to be an $18 discount but hey, if you saw $18 laying on the ground wouldn't you stop to pick it up? HTH

I did compare the two - the Mini 3 still only shoots 4K/30fps vs the S1's 4K/60fps, but it has a better image sensor than the S1. My sense is the Mini 3 will deliver superior image quality overall. I think the Mini 3 also offers true vertical format shooting in 4K (the whole camera rotates 90 degrees), whereas the S1 merely crops the sides of the image to achieve the vertical format - so a lower resolution for social media posts. The S1 has better tracking features but the Mini 3 is part of DJI's more mature product ecosystem.
The S1's 4K image quality still seems pretty spectacular to my eye and the Mini 3 fly more package was significantly pricier than the S1's combo so I went with the S1 as the better (if perhaps slightly riskier) value.

Also the s1 has forward collision. I think I'm headed toward the s1 .
