I literally spit out coffee LOLing! This is totally true and what I do! I will say it feels like each version has gotten significantly worse over the decades with little innovation and just coat tail riding the brand name sigh...

Perfect timing. I'm playing through part 1 for the first time. I'm enjoying it. I'll definitely get this!

I've been waiting for a deal on this. My target price was less $30 and this beat that by a bit. There is sales tax and a $1.99 fee on top of the price but still the deal I was looking for.

Man this came down quickly. I paid $39ish last Christmas. I played it for a bit and moved on - didn't finish the story. It's a good game.

This game has very little in common with the early games. Maybe it's ok as a $20 game, just don't expect the charm you'd normally get from the series, and don't expect a good frame rate.

Really? Seemed to me to be pretty much exactly like the early games but with updated graphics and systems, etc. Framerate was fine on Series X. I just put 30-40 hours into it and got kinda bored and moved on. But definitely had a lot of fun.

I feel the same. Similar trope to earlier games. I finished the story, which is fairly short if you were to do only the main missions. I haven't played it much. I do have the DLC and will probably do the Mine. But I have maybe put 5 hours in since beating it. I don't have fun grinding the same bosses over and over.
