For a 6E wireless bridge, this is a very good price, even though it seems like Arris abandoned this product along with a lot of their other wifi stuff. If I needed to make something wireless I would not hesitate to pick it up. Also a poster above mentioned that this can be turned into an access point so that would be a really cheap way to have a few wifi 6E access points in the house.
Simply, all this is is a wireless bridge. You take any item with an ethernet port and you can make it wireless by plugging it into one of these nodes, it will automatically pair with the other node, and that other node should be wired into your existing wireless router ethernet port. Good for older devices that have slow wifi or no wifi at all, but have an ethernet port.
For a 6E wireless bridge, this is a very good price, even though it seems like Arris abandoned this product along with a lot of their other wifi stuff. If I needed to make something wireless I would not hesitate to pick it up. Also a poster above mentioned that this can be turned into an access point so that would be a really cheap way to have a few wifi 6E access points in the house.

Just need to go into settings and show the AP. You can also name it whatever you want.
As a bridge, I've also been using it for ~1 year; have a gigabit switch and my work laptop + 4 consoles plugged in. It has no problem maxing out our 500mbps plan on speed tests and has been super reliable.

This will come with two units, both by default are setup to only talk to each other. Yes you would have one plugged into your existing wireless router/modem combo from your current ISP provider. The other unit would be setup somewhere in the house where you want a device to get wifi, and you would run a ethernet cable from that device (older smart TV for example) to the arris unit and it would now have faster internet.
Example of setup:
Smart TV (ethernet port) ----> Arris Unit <------- Wifi----> Arris Unit--------> Existing Wireless router/modem.
To use them as access points you would have to modify their configuration in the setup and then have to wire both to your existing wireless router/modem, its a bonus feature but not their main purpose.
so this comes with 2 "routers", do I plug one into my main router that is connected to modem and it will broadcast 6GHZ alongside the (2.4/5GHZ) from original router? How about the 2nd "router" in this package? Does that mesh back to the first one or does it also need to connect to some physical ethernet port? Ideally I'd want this to function as 6GHZ mesh system supplement to my existing with easy transition between bands

Plug the base unit into that.
Plug whatever you want (including an ethernet switch to share) into the Satellite.
You'll have a 6GHZ bridge connecting them and supporting the devices.
AND you can CAN enable broadcast AP, so the Base will also function as a way to add 6GHZ to your existing WIFI and broadcast it's own SSID.
That's what I've done - we have an Tri-Band ASUS GT6 w/ that broadcasts in 2.4 and 5GHZ. "ASUS" is the SSID and shared across all 3 bands (the router steers to the correct one). Now that I've added this, we also have "ASUS_6G" available for people to connect to. And, downstairs has the satellite and another switch, w/ 5 more devices also now sharing that 6G.
so wifi 6ghz is worthless.
if you live in such a place, only get this if it's line of sight to your router, etc.
