Always found 24" deep desks to be too short for a monitor. You're either putting the monitor on an arm and pushing the desk further from the wall to accommodate (when you could just buy a 30" deep desk) or you're best using it with a laptop only
If the legs don't work and only 1 side rises, be sure to check if the heck bar is correctly inserted into the leg where the motor is. I had to take off the motor (3 screws) and insert the hex bar into the slot, then reattach the motor (very easy to do) and complete your desk setup.

Buy a monitor arm to give you more space, but I'm able to work on computer with the laptop and 2 monitors on arms.
I still have room for a book or notes.
It rises pretty high and did not wobble or loose balance with monitors on it.
