These people are why concerts cost so much in the first place.
Truth. Some of the details that have come out in the monopoly lawsuit are insane. Brutal nasty vindictive practices, followed with disgusting bragging to each other about it.

All the venues near me are large/arena sized, so I'm out. I'm fortunate to live in a city with a good music scene, so I'm accustomed to paying $20-50 to see good (but not top-level popular) nationally-touring acts in small to medium sized venues. There are a few artists I'd like to see on the list of nearby shows, but even with the discount, the overall experience isn't worth it for me.

There are still $30 tickets available for GnR at the Rose Bowl, that's the Saturday of the Labor Day weekend. Your parking ticket for that day will be much more expensive than that.

I thought about seeing Paul Simon, but the venue he's playing at is smack dab in the middle of a ghetto in Philadelphia with people wacked out on the veterinary tranquilizer xylazine. I'd have to take public transportation, and it's not worth $30 to end up robbed.

Just take the Xylazine before you hit the venue

Then I'd really be a target. $30 tickets for Paul Simon are gone now anyway.

Just park at old town and take the shuttle. I see $15 parking at old town, 1 at $7 but a 14 min walk to the shuttle pickup area.

Several comments stating they can't find these $30 tickets for the shows they want. The sale went live several days ago for preferred costumers before they opened it to the general public, most popular shows sold out. You can see those tickets already being listed for re-sale by all the people that bought them. For examples lots of tickets available for the GNR concert from people asking about $67 for the same seats.
