You have to love Macys and their excessively high regular prices that become 40-50% off as soon as they hit the rack, putting them at their actual full retail price. Then they give a "additional friends and family" discount that is equivalent to other store's typical sale price. They want the shopper to be transfixed by how much of a discount they got rather than the actual price that they paid. You are paying $35 for slacks that should sell for $35 many consumers think they got a killer deal because of how much off they are.

I own these pants they are a Wool blend and they have a great feel to them. And much better then those preformance fabrics pants that all the brands are trying to sell these days.last week there were on sale for $30 dollars even at $35 where are going to get Calvin Klein dress pants nowhere.Belk,Nortroms, are all more expensive Ross, or TJ max Marshall's do not have anything in a size 34 or 36 in my state. They have CK shirts as low as $23 and 35 bucks there no real department store online with those prices.again you can find them occasionally at discount retail stores but not usually in a size 17-17.5

For $35 buck it is a very good deal

While you aren't wrong in many aspects of your statement at several prominent retailers, I have to agree that a wool blend dress pant is quite a bit better than the regular dress pants that sell for 30ish with no discount. I still have several banana republic pants i got nearly five years ago for a huge discount, around this price or less, that have taken real abuse and still look and feel great. I work in retail, so dress pants are actually work pants. Amazon essentials and all the pants they emulate have not lasted half as long as the BR ones. And i buy whatever is on sale to try out different brands often. But to each his/her own, you should certainly buy whatever you feel is the best bang for your buck.

I don't know what exactly you bought but does the newer BR stuff cheaper in quality?
