Great price!

For other models, Ecoflow eBay has good prices on certified refurbished that supposedly come with their full factory warranty (5 years for most models).

I just picked up a refurb Delta 2 Max yesterday. Went with the older Delta 2 Max over this model due to the 2 Max having 2 xt60 inputs.

You could buy a LiFePO4 battery with 4000Wh+(double the capacity of this unit) and inverter for the same price, or $150-200 less if you go with a lower wattage inverter.

But hard to beat this at this price point for form factor and ease of use.

This but also went with Ecoflow for simplicity and app. You'd also need a separate mppt charge controller for solar. There are definitely cheaper options (almost got a Pecron) but often no app for easy monitoring and charge scheduling remotely.

Man I'm still hitting my head against the wall, last year near black Friday the Delta pro was going for about total $919 - 20% cashback with PayPal 4 payment options. That would bring it down to $735.

I considered this but 3kW+ inverters are very expensive. Do you have any recommendations?

In all honesty, the regular D3max is a downgrade from D2max because of some cut corners. Most people in the community opt for the true upgrade, D3max plus. D3max plus was on sale on Amazon for $799, but I don't know when or if that deal will come back.

Not to mention last year we could claim tax credits for 3kwh (combined) purchases. I got 20% back on my tax filing.

I have this one that I bought last. I Hate it!!! It is very inefficient trying to charge it from solar so it is worthless to me. Called Customer Service and they were NO help. Buy either Bluette or Ouples. I have 3 Bluettes and one Ouples that I bought. Ouples very much impressed me. I have owned Bluettes since 2021 and find their older AC200 worked without any flaws. Have 2 Ecoflows and nothing but problems from each one.

3k is popular size, but don't get a pure sine wave one. Modified is fine for almost everything except sensitive scientific or medical equipment. If you're just running normal household stuff it's unnecessary. Plenty on Amazon under $200, but right now Harbor Freight has a 2k inverter [harborfreight.com] for $130, which is a good option if you don't really need 3k. Really depends on your use case. Their 5k inverter is only $50 more than the 3k.

I'm running one of these inverters and dumfume battery in my shed for power. I already had the inverter for like 6-7yrs though, so pairing with a battery and that left me plenty for an mppt controller and a solar panel for charging for about the same as this unit but 2x the Wh. I was originally looking at 1024Wh Anker unit with solar panels, 4x the Wh on the dumfume battery with inverter made more sense as I didn't need portability and this was easy enough to move to the house if needed for an emergency.

I bought the D3max plus from Amazon when it was on sale. It has 2 solar inputs but they are limited to 500 watts each - hard to find a solar panel combination that does that. Also, the plus can extend to 2 extra batteries, either 1024 Wh ones or 2048 Wh ones.
