This is a beast of a work light. Instead of those annoying buttons you have to click ten times, it has a physical rotary dial to change brightness—super handy if you're working with gloves on or just want a simple interface.
Why it's worth it:
- Dual Light: 3200 lumens for the main light plus a dedicated red light mode for night vision.
- Battery: Includes a 5000mAh 21700 battery, so the runtime is way better than the smaller 18650 lights.
- Magnetic: The light pops out of the headband and has a magnetic tailcap. You can stick it to a car hood or a fuse box while you work.
- Charging: USB-C built-in, so no need for a separate charger.

It's definitely on the heavier side for a headlamp because of the big battery, but for DIY/garage work, it's one of the best setups you can get at this price.

But "use 5v charging only" means they might've cheaped out and just attached a USB C port to old/dumb circuitry, meaning phone/laptop chargers may not work. They do show a USB C to C charging cable so maybe I'm wrong...usually ones that only work on 5v chargers have a USB A to C cable.
Tempted to order one just to find out, and return if needed...
Just make sure and doble check with AI o Google Search. It would be a pain to have just a few connectors to specific items.

But if a manufacturer just connects a USB C port to a Micro USB device, without the resistor, many (all?) chargers ignore it. Not speculation, I've had a couple cheaper devices ignore my Anker etc. chargers, and only work on old A-to-C cables (which send 5v all the time).
That said, I saw comments on a different Sofirn model that "C to C cables work", which I'm taking to mean correct implementation.

I have the hs41 in a 5000k color variety, and I love it even though there's no red light and there's no convenient rotary dials. I would probably love this.
but I will say that hs41 is on the very limit of the weight that you want strapped to your head, and when I put it on my hard hat the combined weight can feel a bit much. I don't mind it if I just have a cap on, but it needs to be just a smidge lighter. I'm more likely to reach for the hs21
