Not a shot on the deal, which is fine I guess, but in what universe was this ever worth $2.5k?

$465 + tax for a refurb notebook with a 4 year old CPU is kind of pushing things.

Yeah I agree, especially with 1080p screen resolution - which in my humble opinion should be illegal!

Never fails. Every time a quality business laptop shows up here , people complain about the screen resolution and the MSRP. This isn't a gaming laptop, and it's not a consumer-oriented laptop. It's designed to be sold to businesses in lots (and yes, I'm sure they get discounts off the MSRP), to be reliable and quickly repairable (if necessary) and to be used for many hours per day for several years.

Very good but storage kind of low side. If it's 512 and 1tb that would be a sweet deal.

I was wondering if it was upgradeable but probably not worth the effort

Agreed. The 32Gb RAM is nice (although still DDR4). I wonder if there is an open slot to put in a 2nd drive.

Dells aren't quickly repairable. They use proprietary parts. If you are an it department with replacement parts, maybe. If you just have one they are awful to work on

These are most likely used by corporate employees which are priced in that range.

The MSRP is an absolute joke. A listing on slickdeals should not be showing the original MSRP. It can show the discount off of the most recent price, but spare us the fake "sale" by comparing it to an original MSRP that was probably never sold to a single buyer.
