Heck of a deal. We use ours every day. Didn't see a compelling reason to go to the 2nd generation, so this 1st gen box is still great.

We have the 2, and several have the 1.

The 2 allows you to play games, has a bigger battery, but we really only use the features from the 1.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the 1. And this price is really good.

My almost 3 year old only just started using the one the wife got recently. Tbh my main gripe is the songs 90% of the time are not the original music. Moana sounds nothing like the original. A cash grab and trying to bypass IP payments to the original actors.

my kids have tonie box and yoto player. they use them both. anyhow, FYI theres IMO more variety with yoto player cards and they are cheaper. They are also much easier to carry when you travel.

You might also check out your local library. Ours has little packs of 2-4 Tonies that you can check out for the 2 weeks or whatever. My son loves going and choosing them out and it saves us so much money.
