I have a feeling that if you buy this and actually use it, you'll soon be thinking that YOSUDA bought something better.
LOL that's clever!

I have been using a similar priced rowing machine since COVID. The screen is out of battery but I don't use it anyway -- i do it when I need to watch a soccer or hockey game and I use my watch to track. Other than that, it works like day 1. I use it twice per week.
I used to use Concept 2 at GYM. I know it is better, but why pay the premium for a GYM level machine if you are the only user. If I get tired of it, just throw it. Saved money when you purchased it and will save effort when you abandon it.
Since you've experienced a Concept2, how do you feel about the foot rests and limited stroke on the cheap rower?

On a Concept2, the footrests are not movable, which is better for generating leg power. This cheapo rower also seems to have limited range of motion, it doesn't retract past the feet.

I got this a few days ago.
Tried it very briefly and downloaded the app. Overall it seems solid an I'm right at the height limit 6ft but it's in no way uncomfortable or feeling like I need more space.

The AI classes on the app are surprisingly good too, just funny to think the instructors aren't real.

Make sure to double check the length of the track. Less expensive ones are shorter.
Regarding rowing, it is one of the best full-body workouts you can do. I was on my college crew team. I own a Concept2 erg since 2014, which was $900+. Having a rowing machine at home is the perfect all-in-one-workout for cardio & strength (shoulders, back, abs, arms, legs). All without any impact on knees, such as running. The mere fact you will be active is what counts. Row 2000-3000 meters a day, cut out bread, rice, sugar, dairy, and you'll see great results within 30 days.
i have a stationary bike. how does a row machine work out legs?

anyone with exp on this one?
The photoshopped product images make this rower seem much larger than it really is. I'm 6' tall and it's just big enough for me.
This is neither good nor bad, it stows nicely and is still big enough to use comfortably.
The build quality is very decent for the price. The rollers have been lasting for a while, I've had no issues with the strap, and the action is very smooth.
My main complaint is the polling rate. I used to run for cardio but two decades of military ended up wrecking my knees. Rowing is much easier for me. I had a gym membership where I'd row for exercise but decided to buy this over spending $50/month to drive to a gym every other day.
The machines at the gym did a great job tracking my pace. They would virtually instantly react to my slowing my pace, which is great if you're trying to meet a certain distance at a certain time.
This machine polls every second or so. It may not seem like a big deal but it'll poll mid-stroke and give you an accurate time, then it will poll on your return when the wheel is slowing down and give you a much lower pace. This is honestly very frustrating when trying to maintain a certain pace over a long distance. I pretty much gave up on using the display and just go by feel, which kind of sucks.
For the price, this is a great purchase and I don't regret it one bit, but it hurts a bit realizing why some machines cost quite a bit more than others.
