I find it funny - all the complaining about the lack of stacking. Sure, definitely a sting to not being able to stack anymore...but come on people. In today's world - where a cheeseburger is 18 bucks, getting 35% off anywhere is a steal. Add kids on top of that, saving that much allows us as parents to try new things. So thank you for posting this - in for a few.

I feel sad that they took away the ability to stack coupons with credit. And depending on where you live and how many restaurants you have it may not be a good deal anymore. For me this deal is still worth it for as long as they keep the Mezeh restaurants within inKind network. I live Mezeh and enjoy 35% discount. One bowl feeds two people and it's a lot healthier than any other fast food.

" Thousands of restaurants"? but unfortunately only a few near us that we might go to. And if it looked like we could easily do takeout, would consider it,but doesn't look like they want you to do takeout? Is there an easy way to do takeout? Is that even an option at most of their restaurants?
You have to call and ask for pickup order then you can pay when you arrive for pickup. Usually leads to a lot of blank stares when you say you're paying with inKind but it's always gone through in the end in my experience.

I haven't had many problems paying with inkind. I usually ask before ordering that they still accept it. I once had an issue paying at a Restaurant near the coast because my phone reception was bad so the transaction would not go through. I connected the restaurants wifi and it went through fine.

Can you use the same Inkind account for both portions of the split check if trying to use an offer and balance at the same time? Or it has to be separate accounts?
I think it has to be separate accounts. I vaguely remember trying to split the check and pay with the same account, but it wouldn't let me.

So you think that if you take 35% off your meal, it's not worth it seems pretty good to me
35% assumes you hit exactly $100, which you probably won't. The restaurant selection is kind of limited, too. Still value there just not as hot as it used to be.

Huh? This is not a coupon that requires spending $100. You spent $65 and now have $100 InKind cash in your app. Whether you then spend $10 or $50 doesn't change the fact that you saved 35%. I buy multiples of $100 GCs, so the balance is always covered with the GCs ensuring that the 35% off is achieved every single time.

I love reading all the crying and moaning in these InKind threads now Smilie

Our little city has 5 restaurants participating in this, and we've been going to 3 of them before InKind existed. Therefore, this has been awesome for us regardless of whether I can stack with coupons or not.

We just came back from a week long trip to Chicago. It was great discovering new restaurants that were on the InKind map. We have 4 accounts using 4 phone lines in the family. Therefore, I'm not really missing any of the coupons after splitting the bill between multiple accounts.

Happily ordering more from Costco now.

This is how restaurants stop using this type of service. They just want some foot traffic but then soon people start gaming the system (it's not people's fault, obviously everyone wants to maximize discounts) and they withdraw. Groupon or Stacksocial restaurant codes, or Restaurant.com gift cards never took off because of this.

Inkind is trying to transition from massive losses during customer acquisition phase to a real company trying to eke out a profit. This happens with any startup company. Like others have said, yeah it sucks that the deals and Inkind cash don't stack anymore but it was good while it lasted.
As for the service and whether it's worth it now, that's for you to decide. If you're going to actually eat at these restaurants anyway, saving 1/3 off ain't bad. For me, I was mostly going to places that I wouldn't normally go to and would never pay full price for. There's a couple of good local pizza spots that I'll still frequent so I'll use them occasionally.

Furthermore, can my wife use the GCs and I use my cash back?

Doctor of credit is posting that offers can stack with Inkind cashback. I couldn't get it to stack. Anyone able to replicate that?

Yes, one account could pay with GCs, and the other one can use a coupon code OR use the InKind cash back and pay the remaining balance with a credit card.

I read that as you can use an offer and earn 20% cash back on the portion (the balance of the bill) that you pay with credit card. You can't stack an offer with cash back already earned that is sitting in your account. So if you used an offer, check to see if you earned 20% back on the portion of the bill you paid with credit card.
