I need a new coffee maker, but after using one with a timer for the last 10+ years, that's a must now.

My first machine had no clock. I used a smart plug/outlet and basically turned the machine on in the evening then the plug would turn on in the morning haha. Waiting for coffee is painful.

Bought this a few months ago at $22. Works well enough (seems to get my coffee a tad hotter than my previous proctor silex that lasted ~10 years before dying). Cant really go wrong if you need a basic drip coffee maker. As others have suggested, add a $5 smart plug and you can have it turn on/off whenever you like.

I have the model that looks just like this, but has a timer. I do think it brews well, but occasionally the spring on the basket is somehow "off" and I've had coffee overflow. So if this has that same issue, watch out if you leave it unattended or put it on a timer.
