  • 20,000 RPM motor with 7/8 in. max depth of cut
  • Power through difficult applications with brushless motor and 550 mwo
  • Cut A wide range of materials: includes bonded abrasive wheel, diamond multi-material wheel, and diamond tile wheel (this blade uses manufactured diamonds engineered for cutting)
  • Compatible with accessories: includes an adaptor ring to be placed over 3/8 in. arbor, allowing use of 3 in. wheels that require a 7/16 in. arbor
  • Connect to extractors: includes a removable dust shroud with an airlock connection, enabling the unit to be connected to a DEWALT extractor (sold separately)
  • TOOL CONNECT chip ready: chip pocket accepts TOOL CONNECT chip DCE042 (sold separately) and connects with site manager app for easy asset management on the jobsite
  • Conveniently set desired depth: dust shroud features tool-free depth adjustment with mm and inch markings
  • Illuminate dark work areas with bright LED

I've had to take mine apart several times when the switch stops working. Banging on the switch area sometimes gets it working again. Seems to be a common issue. Absolutely love this tool when it starts up though. Super useful for so many things.

Not much different, just more ergonomic for things like long cuts in wire fencing and sheet metal, and cutting pipe more precisely.

The revamped website (from a couple of weeks ago) and new cart are quirky. Once you get to checkout the price should be correct. It also has weird caching where it remembers stuff you removed from the cart or forgets stuff you add. So just be especially diligent when you checkout to make sure there are no surprises on what you are ordering and its price.

Such a versatile tool. I just used it to cut out tile that was adhered to concrete. Setting the depth was easy and the vacuum port is a nice addition. I felt I could do it with the angle grinder but it would have been far messier and I would have risked going too deep. This was the right tool for the job.

I have this unit. I researched many different manufacturers and Dewalt was hands down the best. I only use mine occasionally but happy with it.

Love this tool. Also have the angle grinder but this is the one I always use. Used it to cut rebar, construction steel pipes, metal brackets, ceramic tile, etc. Im sure I've cut other things but its great to grab, pick the right blade, and make short work of fine detail cuts. The tile I cut was for about 100x 3in x 6in subway tiles. Worked great and made straight lines. Fits well in the hand.
