I just plain hate remotes that rely on your phone. It's like planned obsolescence in a way.

How so? I was actually worried paying extra for the remote with a screen might not work with a future drone and be obsolete

The extra battery and carrying case really aren't worth the $70 more than the non-combo kit was for $200 a few days ago

Yeah, I grabbed the $209 deal, then got a couple barely used OEM batteries on eBay for $39 each shipped. Got a nice hard case for $20 with foam already cut out for everything.

The phone remote the drone doesn't go as far compared with their remote.

Just when I saw this deal about a week ago for $300 and that's the lowest I seen this go for. I wanted to pull the trigger on that deal. Now this comes along and it's even priced better. Very tempted...

This is a really good deal on what looks like a fantastic starter drone! Bought mine on April 23rd and received it the 26th. Smart Fly Gear was the seller. I played with the drone a few minutes the day that I got it and right out of the box it was a piece of cake to fly! No issues from the seller or from the drone.

Even though the specs say the Mini 4K has a 10km range, with the RC-N1 "phone remote" in an open area and clear line of sight mine would start losing signal at just a little over 1.5 km. I was told that it was partly due go the remote limitations. . . One thing is having a proprietary remote built by the same company and one thing is having two different systems from different companies talk to each other.
