Is this pest proof? I'd hate to find ants chowing down on my rice or flour.

It has an air tight seal around the top. You are safe unless ant-man is trying to get in.

I was looking at this container on amazon, for flour storage, but read enough reviews on there being a gap in the lid seal to deter me. There are plenty of reviews that like it, but I didn't want to hassle with a return or exchange if I got a bad one.

I have 2 of these and I don't like the shape of it. It is hard to get stuff out when you are close to the end and the flap/hole to remover flour is too small. I don't recommend it for the shape, but if you need air tight and critter proof, it works well.
