There are only a handful of kettles where there is no plastic inside where the vessel is boiling. Who wants to boiling water coming into contact with plastic every time you use the kettle? Most 100% plastic free kettles also have some kind of temp control as well. This is one thing you definitely dont want to cheap out on

no, i had this before. the filter/mesh part is plastic. you can remove it but it may break.
Everything on this are plastic. Mine cracked and died right at the 1 year mark. Needed a quick kettle so I Walmart a stainless steel Hamilton beach one and that thing has been tanking along for close to two years with daily use. Don't waste ur time or money on this.

I don't think I got this brand, but I noticed a distinct bad change in taste of the water. I never noticed it for a long time since I have it with coffee
I already had an electric kettle and I like it over drip coffee makers or my stove-top kettle (except for a few things). I bought this for tea. It came out free after the promotional credit I had. Will find out soon how it works.

I've been using it. So far, I like. Been making tea directly in it - with a tea ball. No problems. I heat up the tea again after it gets cold in it, working fine.
The blue light when you turn it on glowing on the glass kettle is kindof pretty. The mouth to put the water in is a little small.
I suspect I can make tea directly in it without the tea ball, will try that next.
