8th gen was worse for them than this generation. In all honestly 9th generation overall was trash for gaming in general. There was some bright spots but compared to the past gens it's pretty low bar.

Not sure if this is an availability joke or not in case it's not: NVME drives are hard drives typically found in PCs. They are highhigh speed solid state drives SSD (no moving parts). What makes them NVME vs sata (sata also an SSD) is the data tranfer goes over a PCIe data channel.
somebody online figured out that through some sort of PCIe to CF Express adapter you can use these as fairly fast PC storage. if you were so inclined in these desperate times
The 1TB card may have been down to $80 on Woot once years ago (selling out quickly). I recall the best sale prices were usually $90-110 when I was shopping for it two years+ ago.
