500 dollar g-shock, with a quartz movement and a mineral crystal.

But it's metal. o_0

$25 in components and $475 in branding. Hard pass.

I really like this one, but that mineral crystal is a downer for me. And yes, I know mineral is more shock resistant and fits the g-shock philosophy better.

There are a lot of diver watches in this price point. Some of the others look more like $500 watches than this one, there was another sub-$100 metal one with a similar look recently.

Not saying it's a bad watch, just saying the price is nothing special and original price means nothing.

Do not expect them to appreciate in value like a Rolex.

Sapphire is the only thing I have experience with that I haven't scratched up. Mineral crystal is better than plastic, but I still eventually find a way to scuff them.
