...the bad, having owned it and the delay version etc, is that they go bad sitting on the shelf over time.

Great little chaos noisemakers absolutely, but are not built to last.

...the bad, having owned it and the delay version etc, is that they go bad sitting on the shelf over time.

Given this information, a deal on one of the Behringer mini synths or a Korg Volca seems like the better choice. My Phara-O mini was $79 a month or so ago on the Behringer B Stock Reverb page. Basically a Volca Keys clone but can be powered by USB-C.

I got one of these... size is nice and it's a fun little toy but hits in a very strange price range... for twice the price you can get a unit that has 100x more features. Yer not really gonna be belting out much on this thing, but it is kinda good to run into a looper pedal. Built-in speaker throws off pretty good volume.... but ya would prolly be better off just snagging a used Pocket Operator for the same price... tho both the PO and the little Korg will chew through the AAA battery when not in use.
