It's their bread & butter upgrade.
TVs have always had a money making upgrades.
Back in the late 2000s standard TV sizes were 55" for $1K extra you could upgrade to 65"
The in the 2010s it was $1K for upgrading from 65" to 75"......

Dolby Vision spanks HDR10+. HDR10+ is the HD-DVD of display tech. Tizen is also an awful OS and Samsung's OLEDs have poor quality control.

I agree when we are talking OLED. Perfect blacks and contrast it does not take much brightness for colors and details to pop. If you are seriously watching the TV with sun beaming in your room all the time yeah sustainable brightness will help in that scenario.
