You might be looking at tubs not made by Ninja. Never ceases to amaze me how many copy cat products out there. Not sure I'd trust them with the Creami. Definitely don't want shards of metal in your ice cream

I think he means in the case where they are different dimensions and somehow ruin the blade, but the knock offs have been working fine for me as well

oh i see, yeah i haven't had any dimension issues. but now i'm a little concerned about what these knock-off ones are made of lol...i.e., i hope it's not leaching plastic residue into the food... i've also been running them in my dishwasher on the hottest settings

One of the things I've found on the 'cheap knockoffs' on amazon, is that a company will put an initial product out and then others will just copy it piece-for-piece, but often with varying quality (cheaper parts, cheaper materials, lesser quality) but all the products definitely look the same. I've bought the same product from different 'brands' and have found that even though they all look exactly alike, the quality isn't the same. I imagine it's similar with these, where some are probably safe(r?) and others are using whatever the cheapest material is, essentially doing a quick sale on the products and then dipping.

the "quick sale and dipping" part might be true in my case. I bought mine last june. i tried to find the product page and can no longer find it Frown.
