I would get one if I had the extra cash. I have the 120V battery miter saw but it's so heavy to lug around. Most of the cuts I make are just simple 2x4 cuts anyway, which I would think this could handle just fine.

I received this kit as a gift that I was unaware that I wanted or needed. Out of the box it was disappointing. If you buy it, I would suggest a few changes to improve the "performance" of the saw. First, change the blade. CMT ITK Xtreme Orange Chrome thin kerf light weight blade made a huge difference. Second, the included 5ah or smaller MAX batteries don't do well with this saw. The 6ah MAX or 3.5ah and larger powerstack batteries will give you better cuts for longer before the saw starts to struggle with providing a clean crosscut. So plan on spending $100+ more to make this saw actually useful. I wouldn't have bought this for myself, already had the other batteries and the blade.

A lot of money for a non-sliding saw. I see only contractors needing to buy this. PVC pipe, 2x4's, iron pipe. Too limited.

The 7 1/4 ends up being the same size and weight as this 10" though because it's a slider. This is a better saw and deal than the 7 1/4
