be careful with this type of ladder. all it takes is one of the ~20 step locks to fail for it to be catastrophic

I use a different brand. Are they all the same or do the cheaper ones suck that bad?

When mines locked in place if 1 of 2 locks fail on one of the steps (due to user error) there's still ONE lock that will keep you up. It'll just be slightly slanted. Nothing really catastrophic. Unless I'm overlooking something..

That slight slant also makes it easy to tell if you got it locked correctly in the first place sooo.
