This thing any good? CamelX3 says it goes down to $55 pretty regularly, but the extra 15% off coupon brings it down below lowest tracked price.

I'd like to know this too. Never had a cordless before, tentatively thinking of getting one, but comments I've read say that the Pinecil has been surpassed by these types of units in terms of bang for buck. I don't know if this is one of those though.

I don't know about quality but I've been eyeing portable soldering iron for a while and this is the lowest I've seen this particular one go down.

This is happening to me a lot. I am also ineligible for this deal. Any idea why 90% of the deals are saying that I'm intelligible? I used to be eligible for them all.

I have some concerns about what I see to be consumables for this thing. Like for the desoldering pump. What is that about? The pads are okay. But do I need to buy another one that doesn't require some kind of tubing?

This is $49.99 everyday on TikTok shop if anyone cares. I hate buying stuff on TT like everyone else but when I needed it last month, it was the cheapest option.

10 precut tubes it comes with will last you a very long time. And you can buy more for $5. Just google spare tubes for SS-02 and SS-03.

Coupon does not appear for me. Still may be worth it, I've been thinking of picking up a soldering iron and wanted the E2 max driver... Combo of the two from the same page takes another 5 to 10 percent off if you can't get the coupon.

I have one- it's OK. If it is like small circuit board point and you're using low temp solder 63/37 lead solder, it will work fine (small precision type stuff). For those no-lead solder connections and for larger wire connections it just doesn't put out enough heat over a large enough area. I have a butane soldering iron if I need to solder something like in a car or outside.

You can get pinecil for $25. It needs a power bank, but at least it won't become an ewaste once battery dies

Exactly, Pinecil is ideal for quick DIY jobs. For anything more involved might as well invest in a decent solder station.

I have this and it's perfectly fine and very convenient for DIY projects. The desoldering pump works surprisingly well and is kinda fun to use. I recommend it for casual hobbyists.

I have one and I used the desoldering pump a lot on my last project (several screw ups lol). The rubber tip shows zero signs of wear, but YMMV. If you really want you can just get a desoldering wick instead.

I'm impressed so far. The wattage sounded low, so I was skeptical. I'm pleasantly surprised with the power. It's not noticeably weak, and doesn't make be reach for a wired soldering iron. Although I'm usually soldering PCBs with medium/small components, and wires in the 18-26 AWG range. The large tip was plenty hot enough for a large ground plane on the a PCB.
use a JBC Nano rework station at work (electrical engineer), and I have used a Miniware TS80 at home for a long time. This can probably replace the TS80 for me. Good buy at $50 or $80.
