After his second Windows laptop broke, I bought my son a MacBook Air for college. He said it was great because it didn't distract him with video games.
I'm not sure what Microsoft is thinking here… college life has enough distractions without immersive online video games.

None of the eligible laptops are good and light laptop. They are not even the current gen. They are either under RAM or under processor. They are from few years ago. Look at the list from Asus.

However, given the cost-cutting required to fund AI I doubt they would be able to add too many expensive games to XGP.
They better be careful where to spend their money because expensive AAA games are not always worth the price.

I got my laptop and set it up yesterday with my normal microsoft non edu email account. Still no offer email to input my edu address.

In case anyone wants an update. I tried a bunch of ways to get the offer to trigger on the new laptop. It never popped up and I never got an email. Eventually I contacted support who manually sent me an offer email. I filled that out and got my rewards.

Yes, plus MS also dropped the pricing of XBL from that crazy price increase not long ago.
