So this scans objects so they can be replicated in 3D printing? I'm interested if so, does it create a blueprint file or something? I use Creality Slicer to print stuff but I am below dumb when it comes to blueprint files and actually crafting.

watch some reviews...
it does some things ok, other things very poorly. under 50mm cube size, you won't get much of anything useful.
this is also the base version, not the original... only works with a cable to the PC, not with your phone, so it's lacking all of that hardware you'll see in most reviews. i can't find any actual functional difference... just that it uses "similar" technology, whatever that means.

There's prep work for the object you're scanning, especially if it's dark you'll need to hit it with a scanning spray. Most likely you're going to have to have to use something like Meshmixer to edit the file after you've scanned the object. It honestly depends on what you're trying to scan and some things are more suited to this and others are easier to just drop in a flatbed scanner and tracing in CAD. Either way if you're getting into this I would at least try to learn some CAD basics, I've been learning as I go and some calipers and OnShape have taken me a long way with creating replacement parts for things but something like this would help with more complicated parts.
