Why anyone would buy a lead acid UPS in 2026 I have no idea
Lead acid batteries are the most stable but do have to be replaced every few years. I did read of people upgrading APC UPS with lion batteries and seems to be working perfectly. However, it is much riskier and chances of fire are higher. It can be done, but be warned. I would suggest buying a cheap power station from ecoflow anker or Segway instead. They also have UPS capabilities and some even have a pure sine wave output for ultra sensitive electronics. The all important switchover speed needs to be 10ms or lower (confirm with ChatGPT or something).
