Strange, this is now 3 years old and somehow going up in price. The Essential combo was $199 for a while.

This is the normal price for the last couple months.
And it was $199 over a year ago, for about 2 weeks.

But hey, it's 2026.. old technology sometimes goes up in price

The action 4 I think is near peak of the technology and even the 5/6 are slight improvements mostly software used to get more color range. The action 4 still has an excellent image at lowest price of the series. I have the Action 4 and see no need or want to upgrade.

My GoPro 10 is dead. I use it for snorkeling. I'm pretty annoyed with GoPro though, when shooting in high frame rates (which is important for underwater footage so it can be viewed in slow motion) it just gets buggy - I feel like sometimes i can't trust it which I really hate because I've missed some great stuff and I spend time in the water pulling the battery out to hard reset etc.. (pretty dicey on the water and moisture gets in from my wet hands pulling out the battery)

Anyway how do you like the OSMO 4? I'm on the verge of getting one, it's just that I have so many gopro batteries etc


How is the mobile software? I don't really mess with real editing it's over my head but the few things you can do for color correction in the GoPro app are great - it's just that unfortunately the app is very buggy too.

So how is the app for editing and managing media in the OSMO?
