were these ever made in japan? or is this set another production batch/run? these were supposedly limited edition introduced in 2022 (https://www.zojirushi.com/blog/pr...m-she48pa/)
when i was first looking at these a year or two ago they were already mostly sold out. so either new, old-stock, or something else? i do like that these are the slicksteel interior. but not sure how the outer finish would hold up in the dishwasher (and yes, i know it's supposed to be hand-washed, but i'm lazy...)

I don't know what folks are on about, but this brand keeps your beverage hotter than you would believe. I'm sitting here Right Now drinking Hot Tea made at 2200 last night, and it's still Pleasantly Warm. That's about 14 Hours ago. Also, those look cool. ;P

The outer paint starts to peel off after a few months of heavy use (including washing in the dishwasher).

Speaking from experience here.. I absolutely love Zojirushi mugs, but will only get their plain stainless steel exterior ones in the future.

Absolutely love this Zojirushi PAC-MAN limited edition bundle! The 16oz travel mugs keep drinks hot for hours, never leak, and are super easy to carry.

I dunno. I use mine 5 Nights a week in an industrial setting and don't have that issue. Then again I hand wash it to keep the seal from popping, so the dishwasher must be doing a number on yours. ;P
