idk about that... i thought calling in CS would help to fix that problem and they encountered the same message...then call mysteriously failed once they said they'd help me get it fixed...twice. i think its a blacklist or something odd, people suggest using a completely different device...browser...internet connection, and that worked. the only solution i found was making a brand new account but then that results in you paying the full price.
Tried one more time using online order. Now it's says "Sorry, we couldn't reserve your number. Does it matter how long after gv unlock? Maybe I should wait till tomorrow. I have GV for over 10 years. "

OOS? The rep said he can't place the order for me because it is out of stock online.

So sick of these phone manufacturers not making the storage be a minimum of 512gb these days.

So if I just cancel the billing after 30 days and use the phone wifi only with a Google Voice # for the next year, in 12 months it will auto unlock?
NO, because metro will cancel your line after 30 days of no payment. So your phone will NOT be connected to their network. If 365 day have passed, you can't call Metro to send the unlock signal to your phone.

if it's $100 total in refills, yeah.

Also, I've tested this and I'd like to throw it out there that moving between subsets of MVNOs works without unlocking. DIdint used to, but a few years ago it did. Like, if you have metro but want to switch to idk, Family plan by walmart, as long as it's the T-mobile service subset, works fine. You usually need to get a new sim, but it's a negligible cost, e-sims are free.
This is interesting. So you're saying that if I bought this phone from Metro and wanted to transfer it to Tello it wouldn't need unlocked? I'd just need a sim from Tello? Or am I misunderstanding you. Thanks

Can you downgrade to a cheaper plan after 1 month?

I looked into unlocking the phone after spending $100 on refills and cannot find any reference to it anywhere. I found one reddit post where someone said they were denied: https://www.reddit.com/r/MetroPCS...w/n7mt5ck/

Looks like it's a firm 365 days to unlock unless someone has other experience.

Got this the other day. This company has the absolute worst customer service. The phone arrived even though it wasn't actually marked as shipped on their end ... Which meant I never got an activation email and they couldn't even locate the phone/imei on their end. Pathetic.

So they either ship you another phone or refund what you paid, so you get a free phone.

I wish. Instead it's "we'll send you a return label since it's technically in the system just isn't updating at all... Oh and wait 1-2 days before calling us back" so I can go through their system all over again

Why they need to send you return label? They pre-print one inside the box.

Wasn't in this case, and they shipped me 2 sim cards for some reason? Like I said, company has no idea what they're doing.

Mine says the battery lasts over 10 days if it's idle with no apps while off Wi-Fi (on 5G)
