I never knew about this, thank you!
Can I add this to Mint or Ultra? Or do I need to be on TMo plan only.
you can be with any carrier. If you are with T-Mo prepaid or postpaid the SAT service is $10. a month vs another non T-Mo carrier it's $15 a month. The phone you use must be on their eligible list including iPhone 13 and newer, Samsung A16 and up, Moto G, Power, etc. and up and all must be unlocked. The exception to unlocked phone is any T-Mo branded phone will work, locker or unlocked. I use esim for regular cell and physical sim for the SAT service. Also the satellite service is like prepaid month to month.

Isn't the Moto Edge 2025 256GB free with port-in a better deal? It's a slightly more premium phone vs this g stylus and also has more storage. No stylus though, if that's your thing.

edit: Bah, forgot to activate a $44 capitalOne Shopping reward from Metro. So if you use that service, check your offers/emails! FWIW, I find it best to view the device on the website first, then wait a few hours or next day and you will likely get an offer email from them.

Also, I assume it's OK to swap the sim to another device once the Moto is activated, and it won't affect the 365-day requirement, right?
Yes, the Moto Edge 2025 is more premium. It has more storage and a better processor.

But the curved screen is very fragile. I have the Moto Edge 2024. It fell out of my pocket after standing up and a singular crack was made along the right edge from one corner up to 3/4 of the phone. The edges are definitely a weak point. This experience alone is enough to deter me from getting another curved screen phone.

I got the Cap1 email offer for $44 but after ordering they only recorded $4. Anyone had this issue?

So I just rec'd a shipment notification from UPS for the phone, which was already delivered earlier today. I then went to the order status page and now it showed as shipped. And at the bottom the Activate button was available now. I clicked it and my port from Cricket completed instantly. I then received an eSIM notification on the phone and it was activated.

Hope yours works out soon!
Quote from brestbry :
Did this get resolved for you? Just got my order, but never got a shipping notice and order status still says it hasnt yet shipped. Chat says UPS needs to update on their end, then the Activation will be available, and that the device can only be activated with eSIM, which is why I didnt get a pSIM in the box. Told me to wait a few days and see if I get a UPS notice, then to try and activate online again. Ugh.
Do they not offer a p-sim option anymore?

Unrelated: someone on a reddit sub said that a dual e-sim feature was available (on their GoogleFi model).

I thought it used to be 3 months of paid service, or like 150$ in total paid service, but I no longer see that. Did they change it?

You need to provide govt id to get a Google voice number. So it is intrusive and limited. Used to be free of I'd requirements.
I have a Google voice line and I didn't have to provide any personal information. It's just connected to my Google account. Though I have had the line for about five or so years. Maybe it's a newer thing.

It works out for people like myself that don't really care but just want a new toy.

Yeah that "365" days before unlocking isn't gonna fly for most ppl here.

Here's a.... well, not better, but DIFFERENT option:

source: https://thedroidguy.com/how-to-un...ne-1097252
"Exceptions for Early Unlocking
If the device has been activated for less than 365 days, the following conditions apply:
  • The account associated with the device must have had over $100 in refills during that period for each line active on the account.
  • The device must have been active on the network for more than 14 days since purchase."
Have you personally verified the $100 refill unlock policy?

User reports are that according to Metro support staff it was posted on the Metro by T-Mobile page by accident and that it only applied to T-Mobile lines.

This 9 month old reddit posts shows the $100 refill unlock policy on the Metro unlock policy page.
https://www.reddit.com/r/MetroPCS...t/n7msoqr/

If you look at the Metro unlock policy page now the $100 refill unlock option is removed, as Metro staff stated that it would be.

Which providers' number can be ported in? My mint number seems not working.
