I have something similar to this. Since there is no on/off button, anytime you knock it over it starts grinding and makes a mess.

This claims to have a power button: "GRAVITY SENSOR & SAFETY SWITCH - The gravity salt and pepper grinder set features both gravity sensing and a safety switch for easy one-handed operation." It sounds like you have to hold on to a power button before the gravity sensor works.
