After watching the Linus Tech Tips video on the TruSpec USB cables they're selling—and how they're positioning them to actually deliver what's promised—it's clear the market must also be flooded with HDMI cables that cannot meet their full claims.
Because HDMI and USB-C utilize high-frequency signaling, the physical construction—specifically shielding and wire gauge—is critical. Many generic cables fail because of attenuation (signal loss over distance) or crosstalk (interference between internal wires), which prevents them from maintaining the bandwidth required for standards like HDMI 2.1 (48 Gbps) or USB4.
that said it won't deliver a perfect signal, but it probably will work just fine just to get an image on the screen.
