That said, if you go into it knowing this and understanding that you are going to have to go to Home Depot and buy wood and screws and spend a few hours reinforcing them, they are a very solid/cost effective base for a bed. Not bashing this. Just making it clear to people that aren't willing to cut lumber and reinforce everything that this is a throw away item.
