Neat. Not sure if I can just plug and play with this with my bone stock Centauri Carbon, but at $55 I can figure that out later.

It's not that simple but not difficult, there's a video on youtube on the process. You'll have to take the toolhead apart and replace the PCB for example. They also have a photo of all the parts you're getting so you can get an idea of what will be involved

Gotcha - thanks, I'm sure if I take my time and follow the directions I should be able to figure it out.

Do I need anything other than what the kit comes with?

Just basic tools. And if you need an enclosed printer you'll have to make some kind of new lid

Got a couple right when the pre-order first opened, on 04/27/26 at 12:10 AM PST; which in that case will ship on May 10th. That was a no brainer decision. The only thing it doesn't include is the top hat (top cover); as you can't use the glass top lid on a CC1 with the Canvas installed. In that case you can DIY a top hat, or run without a top hat, but then for high-heat filaments, and toxicity of certain filaments, that isn't ideal. There are already people coming up with mods to make top hats for it though (similar to the Snapmaker U1 top cover printable mods), that we will see very soon for the CC1 + Canvas

There is already a Canvas user manual .PDF file to download, and Elegoo's own YouTube video about the installation.

I ordered my CC1 heavily discounted off a deal from here and it has been fantastic! I gave up on multi color printing coming to the CC1 and nearly ordered the CC2, I am so happy that I was holding off on ordering the CC2 until there was a reasonable deal.

Great news. Bough a CC1 during November of last year and been printing non stop. Was bummed initially when they came out and said they were not going to have the ability to do multi color, but here is a surprise. The price cannot be beat, on top of it all I also added some additional build plates that I was on the fence to purchase but with the discount it was a no brainer. Sadly, did not see the hotend 4mm available. Only 2mm, 6mm and 8mm for $14.

Makes good sense to post this here since a lot of us got their CC1 from the great deals on them posted here before lol.

I didn't notice the preorder until a bit late so have a long wait until the end of July for my batch 😭. Hopefully they learned from the previous mistakes and under promised and will over deliver (literally in this case, in the sense of quicker than promoted delivery dates).

The price is awesome and a good way to make up for the past and rebuild some goodwill and trust hopefully. But I'm sure part of that is they priced themselves into that corner with the CC2 pricing... They have to make the overall combo for CC1+ CC1 canvas cheaper than the CC2 bucks bundle and at current CC1 listing price that means they couldn't really sell the canvas kit for the $150 they seemed to originally want to list it at (thankfully for us lol).
