What's the point of cast iron saucepan for home coocking? What advantage it has over stainless steel? I can see clear disadvantage in maintenance. And in case you are going to cock acidic sauce (tomatoes) for any length of time, it will dissolve all seasoning into a sauce, which isn't very healthy and will require re-seasoning every time.
