If you're over 30 you probably should already have a credit card that would reimburse you for TSA Precheck. Fidelity card is free and has no annual fee

For those that do have a card that covers the Pre Check Fee, make sure you don't make the same mistake I did. I charged the fee for myself and my wife on my card (Amex) but they only covered ONE fee per card. If we had paid our own fees with seperate cards (she has her own card under my account), I was told it would have been fully covered. Not the end of the world but lesson learned for next time.

CLEAR, CLEAR + is the thing now or digital TSA precheck vs regular TSA precheck. Internationally Amex Platinum gets you past security in several European airports plus Canada without other security checks.

yea, during the recent shutdown, i got digital tsa precheck because i was travelling right in the middle of that chaos.

pitty not all the airports are set up for it but between CLEAR and Digital TSA one would have good alternatives to regular TSA precheck.

Just drive if your destination is less than 10-12 hours from where you live. You'll have a car at your destination, too. You save being packed in like a sardine, and all the hassle at the airport including delays. Freedom to leave when you want.
