Hello all,
First time posting a deal. Best Buy dropped the price of "Fair" condition LG G5 55" TVs down to $738.99 AND they're including a $100 gift card, which makes this around $638.99. This is an incredible deal for one of the best TVs on the planet! Thought some gamers looking for a midsize TV would be happy with this deal! If you have Best Buy Total Membership, you get 2 free years of warranty including burn-in protection (which is a non-issue IMHO).
Enjoy!

This open box LG G5 55 inch OLED deal stands out for a very low price with a $100 gift card, and the panel itself can look excellent when the unit is in good shape. Several pickups came with low hours, clean screens, and usable remotes or wall mounts, and the G5 brightness was praised as a big upgrade. The main risk is condition roulette, with some display units showing 5,000 to 6,000 hours, missing accessories, or visible burn in. Checking hours and powering it on in store is the safest way to judge whether the specific unit is worth the trip.
Some open-box units include the original remote and wall mount while still showing relatively low hours.
Local pickup can reduce risk when the store allows in-store power-on checks and accessory verification before leaving.
The $100 gift card can arrive by email before the TV is even picked up or delivered.
Pixel cleaning can clear minor demo-related artifacts like red splotching after leaving the TV plugged in.
Some units show high display hours and noticeable burn-in, which can make the TV unusable.
Some pickups reportedly arrive without a remote, stand, or original packaging, requiring extra purchases to make the TV usable.
Open-box condition grading can be inconsistent, with "good" units reportedly missing items or being worse than expected.
Some experiences report misleading open-box details at order time, including claims of repackaging that do not match pickup reality.

They found a compatible remote missing the back it did look great but taking this home flat on just giant outdoor lounge cushion was scary. NYC roads horrible after the big snow this year.
I don't like wall mount. I ordered Amazon stand and do have vesa stand that probably would hold this too but not sure I want that.
3440 hrs, no stand/wall mount/glue residue from display model signage on size bezel, working but wrong remote missing back.
Order stand for $35, correct remote $25. Store staff was confused why I bought for price. I'm going with SD collective gut that this might be worth it. I can't stand low quality pictures of cheaper TV than can't even beat my vintage plasma to my eyes.
I just returned it. It was surprisingly easy and quick.
Once I got it on stand and used it some today I could notice what looked like burn in circles on certain sky images. I then ran YouTube test patterns and it looked like some white dirty spots were showing.
I don't know if any of this is technically correct. I didn't think oleds would have burn in even at 3,000 hours and the brightness was still insane.
Really a great television. It kind of convinced me to buy the LG C series OLED
I used to have a 43", then went to 48" C4, and feel 55" is the sweet spot where I can still read text easily from my normal typing position.
