Community Reviews
This Schlage Camelot keypad lock is praised for its solid feel, long service life, and easy keyed-alike setup across matching door hardware. The product page rating is 4.6 stars from over 6,000 reviews, and long-term use runs from battery changes every few years to a unit still working after 14 years. The main concerns are durability and security, with reports of internal plastic or spring failures and a video showing the lock defeated with a 3 volt battery. It reads as a sturdy everyday lock, but not the most reassuring choice for higher security needs.
buyers who care about security standards and want to compare against higher-security options, since one commenter suggests looking for an ANSI 1 certified lock after seeing a defeat method for this model.
homeowners who want a keypad lock that feels solid and have had long-term reliability (one commenter has owned theirs since 2016 with no issues besides replacing the battery).
people who are okay keeping a key on hand as a backup, because some owners report the handle can stop unlocking due to an internal plastic piece breaking over time.
households doing a full door-hardware refresh who want matching keyed hardware, because one commenter said they bought Schlage keyed handles and deadbolts and keyed them all alike.
buyers who are comparing against other brands for overall reliability, because commenters specifically contrast Schlage favorably to Kwikset after Kwikset SmartKey locks failed quickly or left them stranded.
buyers who don't want any chance of mechanical failure, because multiple commenters report failures where an internal plastic piece breaks and the lock won't unlock via the handle.
people who prioritize tamper resistance, because a commenter says a Lockpicking Lawyer video demonstrates the Camelot lock can be defeated using a 3V battery with wire ends.
people who expect consistent long-term performance without internal-part flaws, since one commenter says they had several Schlage electronic locks develop a spring flaw where the knob spins and they received no support.

When I changed the door hardware in my house I bought all of the keyed handles and dead bolts from Ferguson Home and they keyed them all alike.

I have this lock now and replacing it after seeding this video and would suggest anyone who cares about security to work on finding a ANSI 1 certified lock.
Still a Schlage but it's ANSI 1 certified.
